Overview

Central Carolina Academy is a tuition-free public school. To qualify to attend a North Carolina public school, a student must be a resident of North Carolina. County boundaries or school attendance areas do not affect charter school enrollment. Central Carolina Academy does not limit admission to students on the basis of intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, disability, race, creed, gender, national origin or ancestry.

2022-2023 Admissions

There are limited seats still open in 9th and 10th grades for the 2022-2023 school year. Please contact the school to learn more.

2023-2024 School Year Application

The new student application period at Central Carolina Academy for the 2023-2024 school year opens in December and closes the last Friday in February at 5:00pm. Applications are for the upcoming school year, not the current one. The online application is posted on this page during that period of time. Current CCA students do not have to reapply.

Lottery Information

A lottery is used because more students apply for admission than can be enrolled per grade level. The students in the lottery will be notified through email of their acceptance or placement on the waiting list for that application year.

Central Carolina Academy administers all education programs, employment activities, and admissions without discrimination against any person on the basis of gender, race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, or other legally-protected classification.
