Central Carolina Academy is a tuition-free public school. To qualify to attend a North Carolina public school, a student must be a resident of North Carolina. County boundaries or school attendance areas do not affect charter school enrollment. Central Carolina Academy does not limit admission to students on the basis of intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, disability, race, creed, gender, national origin or ancestry.
There are limited seats still open in some grade levels (especially 9th and 10th grades) for the 2022-2023 school year. Please contact the school to learn more.
2023-2024 School Year Application
The new student application period at Central Carolina Academy for the 2023-2024 school year will open again in December and close in March. Applications are for the upcoming school year, not the current one. The online application will be posted on this page during that period of time.
A lottery is used because more students apply for admission than can be enrolled per grade level. A publicly held drawing is scheduled on campus approximately two weeks after the application period closes. Potential students do not have to be present to be accepted. The students in the lottery will be notified of their acceptance or placed on the waiting list for that application year.
