Central Carolina Academy is a tuition-free public school. To qualify to attend a North Carolina public school, a student must be a resident of North Carolina. County boundaries or school attendance areas do not affect charter school enrollment. Central Carolina Academy does not limit admission to students on the basis of intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, disability, race, creed, gender, national origin or ancestry.

The new student application period at Central Carolina Academy will open again in October and close in February. Applications are for the upcoming school year, not the current one. The online application will be posted on this page during that period of time.

Lottery Information

A lottery is used because more students apply for admission than can be enrolled per grade level. A publicly held drawing is scheduled on campus approximately two weeks after the application period closes. Potential students do not have to be present to be accepted. The students in the lottery will be notified of their acceptance or placed on the waiting list for that application year.
